Vermont Studio Center... so fantastic! New Work show... cancelled :(

I just returned from a month-long residency at Vermont Studio Center. It was magical. I was prolific, focused and inspired. I created some very large works, as well as some smaller paintings and drawings. I met so many wonderful artists and writers. More photos to come, of the Center and my new work.

Also... important update! The New Work group show (that was scheduled for June 22) is CANCELLED. It may be rescheduled for a date later in the summer. I will keep you posted.

I have been anticipating my month-long artist residency at Vermont Studio Center since last autumn, and it is finally here! From May 12-June 7, I will be at the largest artists' residency program in the country, in Johnson, Vermont, a village in the northern Green Mountains. I hope to de-stress, get inspired, make some connections, and make some WORK!

Join me at this fundraiser to benefit the Ann Arbor Art Center's Art for Kids Campaign, providing classes and camps for families that can't afford it. Me and 29 other artists completed 30 brand new pieces for this exhibition. Each piece is just $40, with half of the proceeds going to Art for Kids.

Mark your Calendars!

As some of you may know, I have worked hard for the past year spearheading the effort to find a physical home for the Ann Arbor Women Artists. The group has existed for 62 years, and has over 300 members, but has never had a place to call home.

Now we have one! Please join me at this Open House and fundraising event to celebrate the space and raise money, to ensure we can keep it for years to come. There will be food and drink, live music, and a silent auction. It is also my birthday weekend, so this will function as my birthday party :)

We are currently collecting donations for the silent auction. Contact me if you can help by donating artwork, products, or services. This is projected to be a well-attended event, so it's a great opportunity to promote your business!
